BONDERITE® S-OT 310B ACHESON (previously known as Emralon 310-B) isa PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dispersion in solvent and waterand part of a two-package product that should be combined withBONDERITE® S-FN 310A. These two components work together to createa robust dry film lubricant that consists of PTFE dispersed in aflexible thermosetting binder. This formulation ensures that whenapplied using a spray method, it produces a uniform, low-frictioncoating on a variety of surfaces, drastically reducing the risk ofstick-slip behavior, which is critical in many mechanicalapplications. Its versatility is one of its strongest features,allowing it to adhere well to different metal alloys and rubbersubstrates. Such compatibility makes it an excellent choice fordiverse sectors, ranging from industrial to consumer applications,ensuring components operate smoothly over extended periods.
For proper mixing, BONDERITE® S-FN 310A should be slowly added toBONDERITE® S-OT 310B ACHESON with continuous, slow agitation, usinga propeller-type mixer or equivalent equipment to create a propervortex. The final mixture should be a smooth dispersion. Anatomizing spray gun should be used to apply the dry film coating.The recommend coating thickness is between 10 to 25 micrometers onmetal surfaces and 5 to 10 micrometers on rubber. Electrostaticspray equipment with low internal resistance can also be used. Foroptimal curing results, BONDERITE® S-OT 310B ACHESON should becured on one of the three following curing cycles:
60 minutes at 160°C (substrate temperature)
30 minutes at 180°C (substrate temperature)
10 minutes at 200°C (substrate temperature)
