Fuchs PX-7 (S-743) Soft Petrolatum Technical is a soft petroleum jelly lubricant developed for protective lubrication, corrosion prevention and surface conditioning in both industrial and aerospace environments. Produced to meet the DEF STAN 91-38/3 specification, PX-7 delivers a stable, non-drying petrolatum film that helps safeguard metal surfaces and electrical connections from moisture, oxidation and environmental degradation during storage, maintenance or intermittent operation.
The petrolatum’s soft consistency allows flexible application — it can be spread, brushed or smeared onto surfaces where a protective barrier is required. Typical uses include battery terminal protection, electrical contact preservation, mechanical linkage conditioning and surface corrosion prevention on parts subject to harsh or variable environments. Unlike hard greases, PX-7 remains pliable, supporting easy reapplication and serviceability.
PX-7 is supplied in multiple pack sizes (such as 100 g tubes and 3 kg cans) to suit both small-scale maintenance tasks and larger depot-level programmes. It is designed for professional and industrial use only and should be applied in accordance with the appropriate maintenance manuals and handling guidelines.
